My Moʻolelo:

I grew up with the best memories of the pīkake flower. I identify that scent with special birthdays, my graduation, my wedding and my mom. The pakalana flower memories that I have are of the violet scent through the jealousies of my Auntieʻs house where she grew it on the chain link fence outside the window. Itʻs also my sisterʻs favorite flower and I think of her every time I smell that scent. So I decided to intertwine the two representing the two of us and the bond that canʻt be broken.
